In this episode, Swamiji continues to introduce the listeners to Srimad Bhagavatam.

We are told about Suka Deva who narrated Srimad Bhagavatam to Pareekshit for seven days by which he became immersed in his Self. Swamiji makes a comparison to Arjuna in the battlefield who listened to Sri Krishna’s gospel and regained the strength to fight.

Why has Swamiji taken up Bhagavatam as the subject for exposition? Swamiji says that 80% of Srimad Bhagavatam consists of deep spirituo-philosophical elements. The profound truths conveyed in Upanishads, Brahma Sutras and Bhagavad Gita are also conveyed in Srimad Bhagavatam. The author Vyasadeva has exhibited amazing mastery in presenting the text. He has magically blended and intertwined devotion with Shastric elements.
