On this concluding day of the talk, Swamiji continues to discuss the Purpose of Meditation. He takes the talk to a deeper dimension when he says that one has to progress from the meditational level to the interactional level.
Swamiji emphasizes the fact that merging into stillness cannot and should not be the solution. Success lies in effectively handling interactions and sublimating them in day-to-day life. The interactions which are tormenting and agitating us, the same interactions should enrich us.
Quoting verses from Bhagavad Gita, Swamiji says that the purpose of this meditational pursuit is to purify one's inner being and enhance the performance of mind and intelligence in our daily interactions. Perseverance and sincere striving alone can lead a seeker towards this path of perfection and placidity.
Swamiji explains that all interactions are initiated by the mind, sustained and also dissolved by the mind. The interactional impacts are also the mind's response to every interaction. It is these impacts that we have to assimilate in our mind.
Swamiji concludes with a formula for a peaceful, fulfilled life. He says that instead of being overpowered by interactional impacts, one should let the impacts be overwhelmed by the mind.
